All Quadrasteers use a limited slip differential. This LS fluid is very important due to the clutch pack. GM also certified an Amsoil fluid and you can view that document HERE.

I have not done a full analysis on the fluid differences but I do recommend the GM fluid because of the simple fact of people that report louder humming like sounds over 200k miles. They replace it with GM fluid and sound goes away. Here I am not an expert on but it is very clear amongst the reports I get the GM fluid is simply the way to go.
